Climate Change Theatre Action in Orlando 2019

2019-12-21 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

WELCOME ALL CENTRAL FLORIDIANS INTERESTED IN CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH ART!

Please join us for our own chapter of the worldwide movement, CLIMATE CHANGE THEATER ACTION 2019.

Come listen to an informal reading of three short plays centered around climate change:

A DOG LOVES MANGO (A ESE PERRO LE GUSTA EL MANGO) by Georgina Escobar, a short comedic play about animal agriculture, food waste, airport security

VANILLA ICE CREAM (HELADO DE VANILLA) by Monica Hoth, a short play about recycling, overpopulation, plastic pollution, individual action, and radical change

SIX POLAR BEARS FELL OUT OF THE SKY THIS MORNING by Alister Emerson, an absurd comedy about media spin and denial

Featuring: Michelle Irizzary, Jen Diaz, Mikayla Goetz, Michael Levin, Clara Velasquez, Michael Onofaro, and Katie De Bari

Let’s begin addressing climate change and sustainability through art action in Central Florida, and take a stand for environmental justice in Orlando as we grow so rapidly!

This event welcomes all Central Florida creatives interesting in making art through a climate lens. Come meet other thinkers, join the conversation, and plant the seeds for grassroots climate collaborations.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO JOHN RIFE AND EAST END MARKET FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND SPACE!
