Lighting the Way: Nine Short Plays That Stubbornly Celebrate a Sustainable Future

An event every day that begins at 7:30 pm, happening 2 times

Come and see a creative collaboration between 40 locals age 10-65, and then join us afterwards for an opportunity to eat snacks and connect with local initiatives that are addressing climate change

Plays include 4 new pieces co-created by 15 Almonte community members, plus international work commissioned by CCTA.

Brian Dykstra – TWO VOICES
Zainabu Jallo – THERE GOES MY BOWTIE IN THE STORM
Katie Pearl – THE EARTH’S BLUE HEART
Elspeth Tilley – LIN AND ASH

 

We are excited to partner with several local environmental initiatives. Representatives will be around after the show to talk to you about how you can get involved. They are: Green Being, Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month, The Walking School Bus, OURTurtlesPollinator Plant Pilot Project, MMPL Seed Library, Buy Nothing Almonte, ONThe Hub Almonte, Centre for Creative Living, MM All my Relations, Climate Action Network, Friends of Lanark County, and Pinegrove productions.

 

Tickets are $10-$25 based on what works for you.
