Native Earth presents its 32nd annual development festival of new Indigenous work which celebrates theatre, dance and multidisciplinary work by emerging and established Indigenous artists from across Turtle Island and Australia.

As part of Native Earth’s Climate Change Theatre Action commitment, staged readings of four short plays by Canada-based Indigenous playwrights will be showcased throughout the festival.

Followed by four theatrical performances-in-development

 

Saturday, November 16th @ 8:00 pm, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre

DRIP by Yolanda Bonnell (Ojibwe/South Asian)
Followed by the 2-Spirit Cabaret, 4th edition – A celebration of beauty and talent of queer and 2-Spirit Indigenous people

Native Earth Performing Arts is Canada’s premiere professional Indigenous performing arts company. For 37 years, Native Earth has led the creation of the Indigenous canon in Canada and has developed the work of over two hundred Indigenous artists through Weesageechak Begins to Dance.
