Kendra Fanconi (Canada) is a playwright, director, and the artistic director of The Only Animal, a decade-old company that is uniquely dedicated to theatre that springs from a deep engagement with place. The Only Animal has made plays in pools, in old-growth forests, snow and ice, and on stages an acre wide. She lives on the land and is a farmer, forager, and mother of two kids who are real characters.
