Still Waving: Climate Change Theatre Action Aotearoa 2017
Following the success of our CCTA event ‘Waves’ in 2015, we are delighted to bring you ‘Still Waving’ in the Massey University Wellington campus Theatre Laboratory in 2017. The theme of this year’s CCTA is hope and solutions: we bring you provocative and entertaining short plays and creative writing from Aotearoa and the world, to help connect you with creative thinking, great theatre, and realistic ideas about how to take achievable climate action and make a personal difference.
This year we start with a Performance Walk Reverse Climate March from Parliament into the community, to encourage communities to take back the power to act when governments won’t
Featured playwrights are:
E.M. Lewis, START WHERE YOU ARE
Elspeth Tilley, THE PENGUINS
Kat Laveaux, TRUTH LIKE WATER
Ian Lesā, A GIRL’S DANCE
Elaine Ávila, BRACKENDALE
Marcia Johnson, SINGLE USE
Philip Braithwaite, SWING AMONG THE STARS
Chantal Bilodeau, HOMO SAPIENS
