Vinicius Jatobá

Vinicius Jatobá was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a fiction, essay, and theatre writer. He was chosen as one of the Best Young Brazilian Writers by Granta Magazine. His short stories have been translated into English, German, French, and Spanish. His theatre sketches have been read and performed in France, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Italy, and Germany. He won the 2017 Portuguese Criar Lusofonia fellowship. In 2018, he won a fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude, in Stuttgart, Germany and he is a 2020-21 artist-in-residence at the Freiburg Theatre, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature.
