Wren Brian was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada (territory of the Kwanlin Dün & Ta’an Kwäch’än) and is of mostly settler ancestry (7 great-grandparents were white settlers, 1 was Métis). Wren is dedicated to creating characters that can be played by actors of any gender, ancestry, ability and/or age. Anomie won the 2017 Harry S. Rintoul Award for Best New Manitoba Play, and in 2018 Bystander was premiered by Gwaandak Theatre in Whitehorse.
