The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is presenting the plays SARDINES by Maya Zbib and FOR THE GULF COAST by C.A. Johnson, as well as a short devised piece based on a series of six-word stories drawn from in-depth interviews with residents of Pecan Island, a gulf coast community that has seen a loss of land due to the change in water levels in the gulf. They are performing on the banks of the Vermilion River in Lafayette, Louisiana on Friday and Saturday December 1st and 2nd.
