Maybe Earth is just another planet of poisonous gas and dust now.

An astronaut and their cat think parallel thoughts of one another across time and space. While the astronaut explores the universe for habitable planets, their cat sits on Earth waiting for them to come home. As they long for each other, they wonder what it takes to make a life, and what we stand to lose by giving up on the richness of this world for the barren landscape of outer space.
