Angie Emurwon is an award-winning Ugandan playwright and filmmaker, who lives and works in Tororo, Uganda. Her plays The Cow Needs a Wife (2010) and Sunflowers behind a Dirty Fence (2012) both won BBC Radio Drama awards. Her short films ‘Sunday’ (2018), ‘LayLay’ (2019), and ‘Keycard’ (2021) have screened at several film festivals, with ‘Sunday’ and ‘Keycard’ winning multiple awards. She is currently working on a one-woman play, and is in development with her first feature film.
