David Paquet is a 2006 graduate from the National Theatre School of Canada’s Playwriting Program. His plays Porc-Épic, 2h14, Appels Entrants Illimités, Les Grands-mères mortes (co-written with Karine Sauvé), and Le Brasier have been presented in North America and Europe, and have received several prizes including the Governor General’s Award, the Prix Michel-Tremblay, and the Prix Sony Labou Tansi. In addition to being a playwright, he also wrote, directed, and performed in the stand-up poetry show Papiers Mâchés as part of an artist residency with the Théâtre D’aujourd’hui.
