Elspeth Tilley, of Aotearoa-New Zealand, is a three-time winner of the British Theatre Challenge and three-time CCTA playwright. She teaches creative activism at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa (Massey University) and writes political plays exploring issues ranging from feminism, climate change, colonialism, and homelessness to animal rights. Her short plays have been published in the U.S., the UK, Canada, and New Zealand, and performed worldwide. Elspeth received the Playwrights’ Association of New Zealand Outstanding Achievement Award in 2018.
