Hiro Kanagawa is a Vancouver-based writer and actor.  While perhaps best-known for his guest appearances and recurring roles on popular television and streaming series such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Shogun, Star Trek: Discovery, Altered Carbon, The X-Files and many others, he is also an award-winning playwright.  Hiro’s achievements include the 2017 Governor-General’s Literary Award for Drama for his play Indian Arm and a 2023 Governor-General’s Literary Award nomination for his most recent play, Forgiveness.
