Justine Garrett is a writer and filmmaker from Los Angeles and living in Toronto. With the arts collective Toasterlab, she creates place-based immersive experiences, including Transmission (Future of Storytelling Festival and Edinburgh Fringe) and Virtual Parkway Forest Park (Arts in the Parks). She wrote and produced Groundworks, a documentary about California Native artists that aired on PBS, and she directed and produced the Captain Me musical kids’ series. She teaches in the Scriptwriting & Story Design program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
