Katie Pearl

Katie Pearl  (U.S.) is an Obie Award-winning theater maker and Associate Professor of Theater at Wesleyan University where she teaches directing, devising, and collaborative practices. As Co-Artistic Director of the interdisciplinary company PearlDamour, she has received support from the NEA, Creative Capital, the MAP Fund, NEFA, and many regional foundations. Notable climate-focused works with PearlDamour include the 8-hour performance installation How to Build a Forest; Lost in the Meadow, created for a 40-acre meadow; and the theatrical senate chamber showdown Ocean Filibuster, commissioned by the American Repertory Theater with the Harvard University Center for the Environment.
