Marcia Johnson (actor/writer) was born in Jamaica and has lived in Canada since the age of six. Her plays include Serving Elizabeth (Theatre Aquarius, Peterborough Players, Belfry Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Stratford Festival), Binti’s Journey based on The Heaven Shop by Deborah Ellis (Theatre Direct, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Black Theatre Workshop), Late (Obsidian Theatre Company), Say Ginger Ale (SummerWorks), and Perfect on Paper (Toronto Fringe). She is the former Vice President of Women Playwrights International.
