Maya Zbib (Lebanon) is a theatre director, performer, writer, and co-founder of Zoukak Theatre Company. Her work has been shown in the Middle East, Europe, the U.S., Africa, and South Asia, where she has taught in various contexts. She has been commissioned to create work for New York University Abu Dhabi’s Performing Arts Centre, LIFT Festival, and The Royal Court Theatre, among others. In 2011 she was selected as the protégé of Peter Sellars, within the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.
