Nelson Gray is a writer and director, and a professor of English at Vancouver Island University. His interdisciplinary performances, co-created with Lee Eisler, have been produced nationally and internationally, and he was the co-founder, with Beth Carruthers and DB Boyko, of the SongBird Project, one of the first eco-art projects in Canada. Nelson’s play Talker’s Town was recently published in a volume with Marie Clements’ The Girl Who Swam Forever, and he is currently working toward the production of Here Oceans Roar, a contemporary opera for the Anthropocene.
