Originally from Hong Kong, Pat To Yan is a playwright, director, and educator active in Hong Kong and German theatre. He is the Artistic Director of Reframe Theatre, and an elected representative and the Chairman of the Committee of Literary Art of Hong Kong Arts Development Council. His play A Concise History of Future China was selected by 2016 Berliner Festspiele Theatertreffen Stuckemart. Happily Ever After Nuclear Explosion was commissioned by Munich Residenztheater. He directed a Cantonese version at Tai Kwun Theatre Season (HK), and the play was selected for CINARS Biennale Official Programme (Canada) in 2021.
