Silvia Peláez is a Mexican playwright, stage director, translator, and fiction writer. She has received grants such as NEA fellow in artistic residency at Ragdale Foundation; Gateways Program in San Antonio, Texas; Mexico-US Trust for Culture grant; artistic residency at the WRITERS ROOM, New York; Iberescena; and most of the main grants and prizes in her country. She has written about 45 plays, many of them published and produced. She is a member of SNCA in Mexico.
