Vinicius Jatobá was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He writes fiction, essays, and theatre in Portuguese and English. After a stint in Paris and Zagreb, he was a writer-in-residence at Akademie Schloss Solitude and Theatre Freiburg, both in Germany, where he currently lives, facilitating creative writing workshops and working as a journalist and non-fiction editor.
