Arctic Climate Change Theatre Action raises awareness about the consequences of the climate crisis in the Arctic, which is not a remote, far away place for people living here. People here live in the Arctic. Yet, it is easy to forget the everyday struggles of other living beings, like polar bears, even if this struggle does not happen that far away from here.

The Arctic, a ground zero for climate change, has a crucial role in the fate of the rest of the planet, and the whole planet impacts the Arctic. It is a vast challenge, where every step towards climate action counts. The Polar Bears by Nic Billon helps to make the often abstract idea of climate change tangible and inspires us to imagine how the everyday life of polar bears might look. The play will be part of a music jam at Pust Café, where musicians improvise. Improvisation and doing the best we can in a given moment is crucial for climate action, as the unexpected is to be expected in the vastness of global yet local challenges of a fragile and beautiful Arctic.

Arctic Climate Change Theatre Action shares the message of climate action among music lovers of Tromsø. The play will be followed by a short presentation on the most effective science-based steps toward climate action. Pust Café is the heart of community engagement and empowerment in Tromsø, giving a home to Arctic Climate Change Theatre Action (played by Zoheb Mashiur and Krisztina Jonas).
