CCTA LA – At the Intersection is part of a two-day climate change action presented by Visions and Voices at the University of Southern California. This event is a theatre performance in collaboration with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in which local women playwrights investigate the climate change issues that are unique to the geography and demographics of this desert city on the ocean. A look at how climate change especially affects lower-income, marginalized communities is the focus – but done in a family friendly way including some spoken word and even puppets. The event includes an interactive “ask an expert” chat at the conclusion of the performances offering audience members the chance to talk one-on-one with a climate change scientist, policy maker, or activist.
