Climate Change Theater: Down to Earth

Nov 82019

Down to Earth is a live performance of selected original plays commissioned by Climate Change Theatre Action 2019, together with original monologues, intended to ignite conversations and spark action on climate change. A moderated audience talk back will be held at the conclusion of the readings. The performance seeks to address the following questions:

How did we get here?
What do we risk losing?
What do our hearts tell us?
What we can and must do?

The production is a partnership between Women Aloud, a South Florida-based, spoken-word troupe that evolved from sold-out, fund-raising performances of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues,  and The First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palm Beaches – Transforming Lives Through Liberal Religious Community.

Featured CCTA playwrights include:

Chantal Bilodeau – IT STARTS WITH ME
David Finnegan – THERE ARE A LOT OF STORIES YOU CAN TELL ABOUT HUMANITY
Jordan Hall – THE DONATION
Mary Katherine Nagle – AMERICA’S FIRST ENVIRONMENTALISTS
Yvette Nolan – BREATHING SPACE
Stephen Sewell – THE REASON
Lana L. Nasser – THE BUTTERFLY THAT PERSISTED
