Climate Change Theatre Action at U of Alberta in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan), Treaty 6 / Métis Region No. 4

The University of Alberta will host a staged reading of:

Madeleine Sayet – WHAT WE GIVE BACK
Aleya Kassam – LISTEN TO VANESSA NAKATE
Nathan Ellis – US IN THE PAST

The readings will take place in the Second Playing Space, Timms Centre for the Arts and be followed by a panel discussion featuring climate change researchers from across the university:

Dr. Sherilee Harper (School of Public Health, Canada Research Chair in Climate Change and Health)

Dr. Amina Hussein (Electrical and Computer Engineering)

Dr. Makere Stewart-Harawira (Education, Former convener of “Intersections of Sustainability Collaborative Research Network for Water Governance, Climate Change and the Futures of Communities” and contributing author to the International Governmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group II Report on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerabilities – forthcoming March 2022)

Dr. Lana Whiskeyjack (Women and Gender Studies, Lead researcher of The Spirit of the Language Project)
