Climate Change Theatre Action: Directing 1 Class

Dec 22021

September 14 @ 7:32 am

The Clemson Players at Clemson University, in conjunction with the Directing 1 class, are producing a climate change-focused theatre event on Thursday, December 2 in the Bellamy Theatre. We’re excited to be partnering with Climate Change Theatre Action 2021, a dynamic organization that commissioned 5-minute plays from 50 playwrights around the world to speak to our collective need for climate action.

Directors from the current directing course will present the following plays:

Paula Cizmar – THE PAGEANT, directed by Kasey Lenzner
Faezeh Jalali – FU-CAWWFF!, directed by Aimee Larson
Thomas Peterson – PAYING FOR IT, directed by Daniela La Ferrera
Haeweon Yi – SO THIS IS THE LAST APPLE PIE, directed by Jessica Candid

Following the plays, we will host a discussion about climate-minded theatrical design with our own Shannon Robert and Matt Leckenbusch, facilitated by Becky Becker, who also teaches the directing course.

Please join us to explore how we can better serve our planet!
