Branch Out Theatre Presents: Climate Change Theatre Action Toronto, a family-friendly eco-performance event to address climate change

Artistic Director Naomi Tessler will lead an opening welcome and invite artist/facilitator Kateri Gauthier and Branch Out Theatre’s Youth Eco-Theatre Ensemble to present SILENT RESILIENCE a poetic storytelling piece commissioned for the Attunement Sessions through Blackwood Gallery in response to four works curated by Becca Taylor called Living Memories – images by Asinnajaq, Camille Georgeson-Usher, and Sydney Pickering. You can learn more about the set and the artists here. This will be followed by singing and enacting ‘Humble Song’ by Ode’min Kwe Singers. Feel welcome to sing along!

Branch Out Theatre’s Youth Eco-Theatre Ensemble along with Branch Out Theatre performers Zita Nyarady and Naomi Tessler, will perform: THE LAST BEE IS FLYING OVER THE SKY by Pat To Yan of Reframe Theatre, Hong Kong.

Branch Out Theatre’s Playback Theatre Ensemble Presents ‘It’s In Our Hands,’ a playback theatre performance. Come share your stories of community care for Mother Earth and watch as our performers re-enact your stories on the spot through improvisational theatre, movement, and music.

Join us in taking part in the Climate Ribbon Ritual: an arts ritual to grieve what each of us stands to lose to Climate Chaos, and affirm our solidarity as we unite to fight against it

Naomi Tessler and the Circle Branch Out Theatre performers and friends, will lead a love-the-Earth sing-along and story share around the fire with original and familiar songs and stories (all performers and audience members will wear masks during this portion of the event)
