Climate Change Theatre Action, University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia

Oct 142019

Our event is part of Global Climate Week at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In the lead up to, and during Global Climate Change Week, USC students, staff and academics will engage intellectually, emotionally and creatively with the problem of climate change through workshops, presentations, creative performances, infographics and short films. Our performance event will provide opportunities to sign a petition addressed to the Australian government to request immediate action on climate change, and will provide information on individual actions we can all take.

Featured CCTA plays are:

Sunny Drake – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF ANY MEANING
Kamil Haque – THE OLDE WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE
Lana I. Nasser – THE BUTTERFLY THAT PERSISTED
Rebecca Dostal, Joey Kohnke, and Lynnette Stevenson with text from THE DONATION by Jordan Hall – BAND-AID ON A BULLET HOLE

The performances are directed by USC Alumni and performed by Theatre and Performance students.
