Join us in the Soho Poly Theatre for a very special University of Westminster and Being Human Festival event in conjunction with Climate Change Theatre Action, 2019 – a worldwide series of readings of short climate change plays to coincide with this autumn’s UN Climate Change Conference. This lunchtime event begins with a reading of three short CCTA plays:
Julie McKee – A HOLIDAY ON ICE IN A WARM CLIMATE
Stephen Sewell – THE REASON
Paula Cizmar – APPEALING
Sara Ayech, Senior Campaign Strategist for Greenpeace, will then lead a discussion on how writers and artists can engage with the climate crisis.
Climate Crisis: Action and the Arts is also part of ‘Digging Deeper at the Soho Poly’, a series of lunchtime talks, workshops, and performances designed to disrupt our everyday routines, and our everyday patterns of thinking.
