Performances
Place des Arts is inviting classes from SD43 to attend a free youth private performance.
This performance is part of an initiative put on by Climate Change Theatre Action. This program uses the power of theatre to spark conversation, inspire action, and bring communities together in the face of the climate crisis. This year’s theme, “The Time is Now,” explores local and global responses to climate change.
Our youth actors will present a series of short scenes written by international playwrights, each offering a unique and thought-provoking perspective on environmental issues and the need for collective action. We are also working with the City of Coquitlam who will provide a short presentation about environmental sustainability after the show.

Place des Arts is an established not-for-profit arts centre and music school in Coquitlam, British Columbia, offering quality arts education for all ages and abilities. About Coquitlam Youth Theatre (CYT):
Directed and instructed by Seamus Fera, our CYT programs provide performance-based training for emerging theatre artists. Throughout the program, our company members hone their skills in movement, voice and character development while rehearsing for public performances. CYT offers an exciting opportunity for young actors to learn various techniques and skills from experienced professionals in a hands-on environment.
