Lighting the Way

Mar 72020

Faith in 3-D is an annual endeavor of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas using drama, discussion, and dessert to explore the moral or ethical issue emphasized in the dramatic work. This year’s theme will feature the issues of climate change. Several CCTA plays will be interspersed with music and exposition designed to call attention to the urgency of the problem and to offer suggestions for ways that individuals can mitigate the situation.

The production will include:

Chantal Bilodeau – HOMO SAPIENS
Georgina Escobar – A DOG LOVES MANGO
Alister Emerson – SIX POLAR BEARS FELL OUT OF THE SKY THIS MORNING
Jessica Litwak – THE NARCISSISM OF SMALL DIFFERENCES
Elyne Quan – POND LIFE
Elspeth Tilley – LIN AND ASH
Joan Lipkin – ABOUT THAT CHOCOLATE BAR
Amahl Khouri – OH HOW WE LOVED OUR TUNA!
Victor Jatoba – FAILED EXPERIMENT
David Finnigan – THERE ARE A LOT OF STORIES YOU CAN TELL ABOUT HUMANITY

Dessert will feature fruit-based treats and mango tea. If any chocolate is used, it will be 70% cacao, at least. Near the dessert table will be a display of regularly-used, environmentally-sustainable products.
