Lighting the Way: Six Plays That Invite Us to Participate in a Global Conversation, to Talk to Each Other for a While About Our World, Our Environment, Our Earth

Dec 82019

DramaDogs is excited to perform six plays by six powerful playwrights addressing various and thought-provoking issues around our climate, our environment, our world. Partnering with the Santa Barbara Public Library, we will weave together the plays with movement and music creating a seamless theatrical event. Our post show discussion will allow the audience and the performers to engage in a dialogue about both the creative process and the presented issues.

The plays are:

Caridad Svich – A LETTER TO THE OCEAN
Madeline Sayet – BLOOD ON THE LEAVES
Marcia Johnson – ENGLISH PLEASE
Nathan Yungerberg – MISS VIOLA EVIE ANDERSON’S DINING HALL FOR BEES
Kamil Haque – THE OLDE WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE
Katie Pearl – THE EARTH’S BLUE HEART
