We are holding a concert reading of Derek Davidson’s BLACKJACK in conjunction with a local crepery called The Later Gator. We have invited local theatre groups to select readings and join us. The Later Gator has a special menu, with climate change themed drinks and desserts (Mudslides, Tsunami’s, Dark and Stormy, the Glacier Melt, etc.).
A local agency called the Wheeling Winter Freeze Shelter has been contacted about needs this year and a list of items has been created. Anyone bringing an item on the list will receive half-off drinks and desserts. We will take up a collection to help them purchase tents and sleeping bags for the homeless in our area. We will also have a brief presentation by students from West Liberty University on easy ways that individuals can make changes to help address the climate crisis.
