This year the drama club of the Gutenberschule is going to perform two short plays, chosen from CCTA2021 anthology:
Elena Eli Belyea – AFFIRMATIONS
Keith Barker – APOLOGY, MY
Both playwrights want to spread the message that climate change is not a lost cause, but they rather want to incite their audience into action.
And so do we!
So far, the Gutenbergschule already acts in line with sustainability principles as the mensa offers more vegan and vegetarian meals and our (school) kiosk, which is run by students, offers regional and seasonal apple juice throughout the year. However, we want students to be even more committed in taking action against climate chaos.
That’s why we want to join the Climate Ribbon action as well. Thus we ask our students to answer two questions:
What do you love and hope to never lose to climate chaos?
And what are you going to do for it?
The short plays are going to be performed in our mensa and here we are going to exhibit all the ribbons the students will hopefully design to remind them of their personal approach to climate chaos and their personal commitments.
