Performances
“Performing Memory and Environment” is an event organized by the teaching innovation group NAPCED as part of its Theater Workshop, in collaboration with LÈNA (North American Ethnic Literatures in a Global Context), a research group at the University of València, Spain. Within the festival organized by Climate Change Theatre Action, this second edition of NAPCED’S Theater Workshop brings a dramatized reading of Chantal Bilodeau’s Whale Song and Haeweon Yi’s So This Is the Last Apple Pie, which we have adapted to the Valencian context under the names Orca Song and So This Is the Last Coca de Llanda. Join the students of UV’s English Studies degree in their performance at l’Umbracle del Jardí Botànic, València, December 2nd at 17:00!
This dramatized reading will conclude NAPCED/LÈNA’s seminar “Spaces of Memory: Re/Constructions of the Environment in Contemporary Literature and Culture,” which includes a guest lecture by Chantal Bilodeau. Keep an eye out for the link, which we will share via the team’s Instagram (@lena_uveg) to join our conversation!
