Performances
The Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa Massey University CCTA Aotearoa 2025 event will take place in the Theatre Laboratory (5D14) at Te-Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington campus at 3pm on 6 December. There will be no stage or spotlights – no distinction between actors and audience – just people gathering for a low-key, climate‑kind afternoon of reading plays and talking together.
The aim is to provide a different kind of theatrical space that is intimate, informal, and resource-light, to give a sense of shared ownership in the creative act. The programme will include a participatory ‘Caring for Actors and Activists’ activity, sharing easy techniques for safe, enjoyable acting, de-roling, and de-briefing.
The plays to be read collaboratively are Zoë Svendsen’s Love out of the Ruins and Elspeth Tilley’s The Penguins.
