The Climate Chronicles

Dec 142019

Readings in the Shed is a performative reading form that brings together theatre artists from Mumbai to perform literature from all over the world. This December, Readings in the Shed shall perform seven plays from the collection provided by Climate Change Theatre Action.

The plays are:

Hassan Abdulrazzak – LAILA PINES FOR THE WOLF
Paula Cizmar – APPEALING
Damon Chua – STEAMY SESSION IN A SINGAPORE SPA
Vitor Jatobá – FAILED EXPERIMENT
Abhishek Majumdar – THE ARROW
Lana Nasser – THE BUTTERFLY THAT PERSISTED
Yvette Nolan – BREATHING SPACE

As a part of our action, we have involved many schools in Mumbai in what is called “100 Words of Change.” We asked students to write 100 words addressing the question: “What would you tell the person who says ‘I don’t believe in climate change?’” Four students, aged thirteen and above will get an opportunity to read their idea to a live audience at the National Centre for Performing Arts.
