Performances
As part of an Art Exhibition sponsored by ECO Oxford, “Changing Climate, Changing Communities,” this performance at the Oxford Community Art Center features staged readings by the students of THE 282A&B: Power, Justice, Theatre & Social Change at Miami University, Ohio. In addition to CCTA plays, the performance features original plays created with Newspaper Theatre: “Olympic Broadcast with Ron Burgundy” about the vanishing sites available to host Winter Olympics and “Add to Cart” about waste, trends and fast fashion.
The evening features three sections 1.) the Melting…. 2.) Cycles of Consumption and 3.) Looking Up and Finding Hope. Followed by a reception with refreshments and opportunities for dialogue.
Participants from the campus and community will have a chance to enjoy the art exhibition and share sustainability initiatives underway in Oxford and at Miami University. We hope you will reconnect to your wonder for the earth, think about our impact on future generations, and cultivate new relationships at this event.
