Charly Evon Simpson is a New York-based Black American playwright, TV writer, and teacher. Her work has been seen and/or developed with Vineyard Theatre, WP Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, South Coast Repertory, and others. She’s a recipient of the Paula Vogel Playwriting Award and Lanford Wilson Award. In TV, she’s worked on shows for Showtime, HBO, and Netflix. BA: Brown University.
