A festival of theater, music, dance, visual and performance art and activism.
On October 1st from 12pm-3:30pm SOON IS NOW at Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park in Beacon, NY with Alex Waterman, Koyoltzintli, Elise Knudson, Elisa Santiago, Cecilia Fontanesi, Erick Montes, Randy Burd, Twinkle Burke,Tom King, Jim Fletcher, Rafael Sánchez, Edwin Torres, Andrew Brehm, Jean Brennan, Camille Seaman, Jaanika Peerna and The Resistance Revival Chorus.
We will be bringing audiences on 3 tours through Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park stopping at each performance along the way. These tours are first come first served at 12:30/1:00/1:30pm. (sign up at the check-in at the park). Even if you don’t make it on a tour you will be able to experience performances, visual art and the concert by The Resistance Revival Chorus at the River Center (red barn) at 3pm open to all. This is a free of charge, non ticketed event.
Arrive at 12pm, meet activists, and learn what you can do. Sign up for a tour. Visit the visual art installation in the River Center. Come to the 3pm closing concert by The Resistance Revival Chorus. Paul, formerly of Poppy’s on Main Street, will have a small food truck there selling tacos.
We will have locally based environmental and food justice organizations present on the day, providing outreach & education: Climate Reality Hudson Valley & Catskills, Beacon Climate Action Now, and Fareground.
We are part of Sustainable Hudson Valley’s Climate Solutions Week and Climate Change Theatre Action’s 2023 season.
