On November 30th at 7:30pm, we will be hosting a reading at The Understudy Coffee and Books, a Chicago enclave for coffee aficionados and theatre lovers alike. The event is co-curated by Joe Schupbach and Alyssa Mohn. Schupbach is a director, writer, and educator; Mohn an Ecoscenographer. The reading will feature eleven plays exploring topics in climate change, performed by local artists. Those artists include poet Christine Kanownik, comedian Kayla Pulley, theatermaker Claribel Gross, filmmaker Ned Baker, writer Seanna Wong, and comedian Patrick Poulin. The evening will also include guest speakers from local Chicago-based organizations Eco-Logic and The Chicago Green Theatre Alliance. Audience members will leave with a menu of attainable and measurable climate change related actions that are in their locus of control and city block.
